premises
on the premises=構内で、敷地内で、という意味です。固い（formal）な表現です。

Smoking is forbidden on the college premises/on the premises of the college/on the college campus.（大学の敷地内は禁煙です。）There are no smoking areas on the campus.

In/on the grounds=敷地内で。
Smoking and drinking are not allowed on the college grounds/on the grounds of the college.（敷地内は禁煙で、飲酒もできません。）

bounds

You can use weapons within the bounds of the new law. （新しい法律の範囲内で武器の使用が可能です。）

confines

Basically, we are living within the confines of the military base. （軍事基地ないで生活しています。）

The dependents of a member of the U.S. armed forces need their passports, military IDs and military orders to get back to (the confines of) their base.（軍の身分証明書、旅行命令書とパスポートが必要です。）
