貯金の意味です。複数名詞です。
I have some savings in three banks.
I deposit my savings at a post office.
I drew all my savings to buy a house.
a nest egg
すこしは貯金と関連があるかもしれませんが、まさかの時のための蓄えをnest eggと言います。これは可算です。ふつうはひとつだけ蓄えるでしょうか。
Don’t keep your nest egg under the mattress. Put it in a safe.
My friend hides some nest eggs in several book-shape boxes and put them on his bookshelf. He doesn’t tell his wife about them. It reminds me of the Japanese expression “dresser savings” or “chest-of-drawers savings.”
I’ve got a stash of some money.
