■Activities mediated by the performance arts

●Drama Workshop
This workshop has the following structure: Children with diverse backgrounds in terms of language and culture come to realize that language is a rich medium of communication. They begin to refine the terms they used by creating scenarios in discussions with their peers while modifying lines as they perform their works.
●Multicultural Playshop
Students from universities and graduate schools go “in the field”, that is to places where children with diverse backgrounds are studying. Then they implement play that promotes children’s development.
Sponsored by the Japan Society of Stuttering and Other Fluency Disorders (Representative: Shinji Itoh). This is held every August for 2 nights and 3 days. Children with fluency problems and their parents get together to discuss their impediments, rehearse dramas, and then perform them.
