Outline
This project team studies innovative activities of CSR on environmental issues and ESD in Japan and abroad. This research-based project develops and implements capacity-building programs for ESD and eco-tourism programs.
Projects
Research on CSR activity both domestic and abroad: To make ESD operate efficiently, deepening a mutual relationship with various social activities conducted by governments, corporations, and communities is indispensable. ESDRC surveys the latest CSR activities and their challenges with the relationship to government and NGOs. It also undertakes research on the emerging trend of CSR activities especially focusing on the practices in Sweden and UK.
Feedback to the Practical field
Developing capacity-building programs for ESD educators and trainers: To produce and foster future promoters of ESD, this team offers opportunities to improve skills for younger researchers and businesspeople for organizing ESD activities, gathering data, framing research methodology, utilizing network, policy-making and analyzing and evaluating for ESD activities.

Assisting the development of environmental activities: Based on the findings from surveys on domestic and international ESD activities, it develops programs for eco-tourism, community networking, and environmental education.

Symposiums and workshops: It broadly pervades its research outcomes to public and hosts various symposiums and workshops about CSR with researchers and businesspeople.
