     Multicultural Symbiotic Project is the collaborative theatreperformance by Japanese and foreign residents that has been held yearly since2008 in Kani-City, Gifu. Productive industry is one of the main industry inKani-City, and there are a number of Japanese Brazilians, Philippines andChinese as factory workers living in this city. However the problems ofstagnation of the communication between Japanese and foreign residents and   discrimination and friction to theseresidents have been concerned for a long time. This project was set up for theaim that, ‘Promoting multicultural symbiosis by Art, by providing a theatre asa spot to meet Japanese and foreign people’ (Tamuro, 2012).
